Whitey Bulger?!

So if any of you have been watching the news, the infamous and elusive Whitey Bulger has been arrested and more importantly has been found! After hiding for however many years and managing to lay low and off of the FBI's most wanted list it absolutely blows my mind that he has finally been caught. I figured he was on an island somewhere sipping piƱa coloadas and swimming in his money. I think that after dodging the authorities for so long they should just let the guy off a little and maybe learn from him, he's doing something right!

  1. Haha, I'm not so sure about letting him off but at the same time, I don't think the FBI needed to expend as many resources to catch him as they did. The thing is, Whitey had been a source of embarrassment for the FBI for years. They failed in getting him. Really... it seemed like more of a pride issue. But don't forget, he was responsible for murders regardless. The only thing I think about the situation is that he should NOT get any sort of death penalty. NOBODY has the right to EXECUTE and MURDER. Even if it is murdering a murderer it is still MURDER. Keep him in prison, give him the opportunity to look inside himself and feel the guilt and possibly even try to repent. I'm sure he won't but we are just humans too... who the heck are we to judge? (Not a religious guy btw)

  2. This blog made me laugh! I guess he was doing something right living in the same establishment for 15 years and the fbi couldn’t even find him? It took a national broadcast about his girlfriend to actually find him! If he was so well wanted and living in the same place not even a low key place for so long I don’t understand why they couldn’t find him. Anyways he’s 81 now so he got to enjoy his life before they caught him. Let’s see what happens to him when he goes to court now and what state rules he gets charged in because some have the death penalty and some do not.

  3. I didn't grow up in MA, so Bulger is pretty new news for me. I'm looking for a slew of related releases in the next 12 months, though!

    Have a great summer...
